FREE virtual workshop – June 13th 4- 5 PM

Whether you’re hitting the trails or looking for healthy, affordable at-home snacking options, food dehydration is a simple way to preserve summer flavors.

In this workshop, the Master Food Preservers of San Mateo and San Francisco Counties will explore fruit and herb preservation, sample recipes for homemade fruit leathers, and create a bright green dried herb blend that can be used for summer barbecues, dips, and beyond. Flavorful, nutrient-dense produce abounds at our summertime Bay Area farmer markets. This workshop will emphasize dehydration basics and techniques that ensure food safety so that participants can confidently preserve their market haul, CSA box contents, or home garden harvest with minimal processing.

Class is free but registration is required here.
